In January 2013, Sasha gave his first speech at a fundraiser for Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center: the CAC in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania that was created in direct response to his case. When Sasha was going through the system as a child, he didn’t have the invaluable benefits and support of a Child Advocacy Center. The belief both from Sasha and from Mission Kids was that no child should ever have to endure the secondary trauma that occurs without the services of a CAC. In the first ever public sharing of his childhood experience, Sasha discovered the connectivity and inspiration that his authenticity could yield. That night, he realized the power of his voice, and the difference he could make for future generations of children.
In less than a decade, Sasha’s inspirational message has reached hundreds of millions of people both domestically and internationally.
